MED 17.7.X

The new direct injected and twin turbocharged 4.7 litre V8 M278 engine in in the 2011/12 CL/S 500 and 2012 SL 500 with 435 hp and 700 Nm and the 2012 CLS/E/ML 500 with 408 HP and 600 Nm is a technological masterpiece with plenty of power to satisfy most drivers. 

With our regular hunger for more power, we have tweaked the software in the engine management system and found a massive chunk of additional power, so the CL/S/SL 500 will get up to 535 HP and 880 NM, and the CLS/E/ML 500 will get up to 508 HP and 780 NM for radically improved vehicle performance. 

500-K1 (CLS/E/ML):
A sophisticated engine management software upgrade. Up to 508 HP and 780 Nm (578 lb-ft) of torque.

500-K1 (CL/S/SL):
A sophisticated engine management software upgrade. Up to 535 HP and 880 Nm (652 lb-ft) of torque.
